EMAILS from Sweetkeren Readers
Hello,
Thank you very much for your response. Of course, go ahead and post the news on the web page. Yet, as you rightly said, such an announcement would have to be without names of me and my father since he regularly checks the web page! He is celebrating his birthday next month and on that special day he will find out from me that his registration, flight ticket and hotel reservation is all taken care of already! ;) He has never been back to Eritrea since he left and as much as he has gotten used to living in Germany I of course am aware of him craving his home country! He checks the news and google earth regularly to dive back into memories and I would love to see him smile at the high school reunion in July. Maybe, if you could do me a favour, you could keep his name on mind and take a great picture of him when you meet him and send it to me - I would be very honored.

Thank you

From M

Hello ,
Since your email is very inspiring, is it okay for me to post it on our website without your name and your father's name? I know many people would love this kind of emails. If it is okay with you let me know soon.
Webmaster.

Her first email

Dear Sir, dear Madam,

my name is ____ and I am the daughter of the in Germany living Kerenaite _______ whom I just registered for Keren High School Reunion.
I have attached the proof of the money transfer of 150USD. Please excuse that the attachment is in German but I think you will easily see that this is a true receipt of the money transfer.

Please confirm his registration as well as all proceeding steps through me. My father does not know yet that he is actually going to attend the reunion. It is supposed to be a big surprise for him! If there's anything else he will need to do in advance to this event, please also let me know.

Looking forward to hearing from you and already wishing you a great successful event in July!

P.S. It would be great if you could post the international BIC and SWIFT codes of the bank on the web page of Sweetkeren as this will be much easier for people from abroad to transfer money!

Thank you very much ,
From M

Hello Friends,
This is an email I received from a youth who is a student at St Petersburg University.
In her last email she said,

“I am a student here. For now I am not ready to do some thing during the reunion. But, for now, just accept me as one of the keren secondary students, and later I hope I will help as every member of the reunion party.
 God bless you.
Ngsnet”

you doing St. Petersburg University?  Are you a student, or a teacher?
What could you do to help us during the reunion?  We love to have

Salamat Wlad ad, Sweetkeren Webmasters,

Just browsed through your website and found an invitation
for Kerenites to send you any old photos or memories of
their town. I am a Kerenite and for now I wish to share with
you and your readers the attached two photos of our beautiful
Keren. The first is Eid Prayers in 1950 in "Joko Keren"
nd the second is just a distant view of the town taken in 1949.
In the first, you will see Qadi Mussa Omran (emam), Sidi Bakri,
Sayed Mussa (my grant father) and other notable Kerenites
standing on the first line.
Best wishes

A/Rahman

Salamat Webmaster,

I love the idea of "reunion" with older kerenites. I think I belong
to the younger ones, born in 1968, grew up through 1970s and
early 1980s in Keren, which I am sure is totally different to
the experiences of your generation. Keep me posted...and I will
o my best to join one of your future "reunion" events, if not the
forthcoming one. If you decide to hold a similar event in London-UK,
we do have a sizable Kerenite community.
Best wishes

A/Rahman

 To the Web Master,

I am a former Keren High School student now medical doctor
in South Africa. I'm delighted to see such a reunion web site
about my old school. I hope you will add some post-independence
tudents’ pictures.

Keep it up.
